We’re looking for enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers who have a passion for the arts and the environment. Volunteering for ECOScene is an excellent way to gain practical skills and to make valuable contacts within the community. Secondary school students can use this volunteer experience towards their 40 hours of community service.
FESTIVAL AMBASSADORS
Festival ambassadors have a visible presence at each of the venues, welcoming and engaging our guests. Their roles include greeting and ushering guests at screenings and events, and providing information on festival activities.
MARKETING AND PROMOTION TEAM
The marketing and promotion team promotes ECOScene throughout the community. Their roles include informing community members about upcoming festival events and distributing posters in key neighbourhoods, including: James Street North, Westdale, Locke Street, Concession Street and Dundas.
SPONSORSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT TEAM
The sponsorship and development team liaises with local businesses and merchants to acquire community sponsorships and donated items for the festival.
YEAR ROUND VOLUNTEERS
Several months of behind the scenes work go into planning and promoting the festival each year. Volunteers will be informed of current opportunities through our website, Facebook and Twitter.
Please contact us at volunteer@ecofestival.ca and let us know which position interests you and your availability. Inform us of any specific skills, interests or previous experience.
Thank you for helping to make ECOScene a remarkable celebration of Hamilton’s arts and environmental communities.
