When there are no trees to perch atop after a long journey, electric wires will have to do.

Sometimes it feels like we are the elements, slowly deteriorating the earth as the elements are deteriorating this jeep. We need to be more mindful of how we dispose of things and how every decision we make affects the outcome of our world.

There is a disconnect with the current younger generation today, the one that gets ALL their info from devices. This included their 3D and augmented reality – but this disconnects them from true reality and nature especially.

Nature is power. Nature can and will reclaim all its stolen land. It is humans who need to watch out.

Oil levels in the compressor sit dangerously low more than 6 years after the boilerhouse was abandoned. But flaking oxidized metal speaks to a different deficiency. Without constant vigellance, nature stands ready to reclaim everything it’s given to us; by choice, or by force.

Its really amazing what people will throw over a cliff near a beautiful waterfall like Devil Punchbowl Falls in Stoney Creek, Hamilton. To drive so far out of your way only to save a few bucks at a tranfer station to dump your garbage off a cliff is ridiculous!?I found this odd sight well down stream of Punchbowl Falls one weekend and although I really like this image, I was still mad about how it got here.

SPRING MELT SHORTLIST – PROFESSIONAL

Thousands of years ago glacial ice formed this spectacular Ontario lake. As I watched the ice slowly melting around this lonesome, windblown pine I was taken by it’s strength & fragility. It reminds me of the delicate balance in nature. I’m saddened in the knowledge that so many of our lakes and rivers are struggling with pollution. I hope we can all share ECO responsibility and continue to help reclaim our lakes & rivers.

Beautiful path ‘Cedar Trail’, named after the cedar swamp that runs through it, which is a rare wetland that runs through this area of Ontario. Located at Coldstream Conservation Area just outside of London, Ontario. Great area for bird watching!
